{"id":77,"date":"2012-09-19T15:37:12","date_gmt":"2012-09-19T19:37:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jonrocket.com\/blog\/?p=77"},"modified":"2012-09-19T15:37:12","modified_gmt":"2012-09-19T19:37:12","slug":"a-month-without-rockets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jonrocket.com\/blog\/?p=77","title":{"rendered":"A Month Without Rockets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We were out of town for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.r-o-c-k.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">ROCK <\/a>launch at the beginning of the month.\u00a0 Even if we had been in town, the launch was scrubbed because the field was flooded.<\/p>\n<p>Before we went out of town, I hurt my foot when I lost my balance while carrying some stuff downstairs from our office.\u00a0 After we returned from the trip, I visited the doctor.\u00a0 An x-ray showed that I had broken one or both of the bones around the joint in my big toe.<\/p>\n<p>Even though it&#8217;s nothing life threatening and is unlikely to affect me once it heals, it really hurt!\u00a0 And, I discovered that riding in a car for any length of time caused it to hurt even worse.\u00a0So I was forced to also miss\u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nefar.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">NEFAR <\/a>and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tra.ws\/\" target=\"_blank\">TTRA <\/a>launches this month.\u00a0 Both launch sites are about 1 and 1\/2 hours drive from our home.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m looking forward to the local launches in October!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We were out of town for the ROCK launch at the beginning of the month.\u00a0 Even if we had been in town, the launch was scrubbed because the field was flooded.
