Bristol of Canada built the Black Brant III sounding rocket which carried payloads to an altitude of over 100 miles. The first flights took place in June, 1962 at Wallops Island, Virginia. There were nearly 70 Black Brant III flights between that time and when the last one flew in 1985.

ASP's Micro Black Brant III kit uses Quest MicroMaxx engines and features a 3D printed nose cone, Kevlar shock cord, metallized polyester streamer, water-slide decals, and complete instructions.
