The Wright Brothers, Orville and Wilbur. played with a toy helicopter as children. Based on a design by the French inventor Alphonse Penaud, the toy used a rubber-band for power. Inspired by the toy their father had given them, Orville and Wilbur made several flying toys of their own design including the Wright Bat.

This kit allows you to build your own Wright Brothers' flying toy. The kit includes sails, propeller, center support, rubber bands, and an instruction sheet. Once assembled, the toy flies indoors or outside. Recommended for ages 8 and up.
