The JonRocket.com Shroud/Transistion Tool generates a custom, printable template for creating a shroud or transition for your rocket.

Paper Size: Select Letter, Legal, A3, A4, or A5 based on the size of the paper in your printer.

Body Tube 1: Select the first body tube that you are using or "Other" to manually enter the diameter.

Body Tube Diameter 1: If you selected "Other" for Body Tube 1, then enter the diameter of the body tube. Be sure to select the proper units in the "Units" field.

Body Tube Units 1: Select the units for the manually entered body tube diameter ("inches," "millimeters," or "centimeters").

Body Tube 2: Select the second body tube that you are using or "Other" to manually enter the diameter.

Body Tube Diameter 2: If you selected "Other" for Body Tube 2, then enter the diameter of the body tube. Be sure to select the proper units in the "Units" field.

Body Tube Units 2: Select the units for the manually entered body tube diameter ("inches," "millimeters," or "centimeters").

Length: Enter the length (height) of the shroud.

Length Units: Select the units for the length.

Roll Pattern: Optionally, select a roll pattern for the shroud.

After you click the Submit button, the template will be downloaded as a PDF file. When printing the template, make sure to select the "Actual Size" setting. The outer square in the lower right should be one-inch wide and one-inch high. The inner square should be 20mm high and 20mm wide.

Hint: Print two copies of the template. When cutting out one of the templates, cut off the tab. When cutting out the other templace, leave the tab, but cut out a notch on the other end the same size as the tab. Glue one template on top of the oother. Roll the shroud so that the tab is on the inside. It should fit inside the notch.
