The Estes Mars Snooper was originally released in 1965 and was featured on the cover of the first full-color Estes catalog in 1966.
This slightly larger rocket kit is an Expert build. Based on the concept of a nuclear-powered rocket, the Mars Snooper was envisioned as a research vessel, an unmanned probe that would do exhaustive research on one of moons of Mars, Deimos. The completed model stands well over two feet tall and flies to 400 feet on a C11-3.
