This ogive plastic nose cone fits a standard BT-60 diameter body tubes (1.637"). The nose cone is 6.75" long including the shoulder. The part that sticks out of the body tube is 5.5" long. Total weight for the nose cone is 0.5oz (14g).
This nose cone is made of a type of plastic called HDPE which can be hard to paint. We recommend the following:
- Wash the nose cone in warm, soapy water. Rinse it well then dry it off.
- Lightly sand the nose cone with 200 grit sandpaper (or steel wool) to roughen up the surface a bit.
- Paint the nose cone with Krylon Fusion For Plastic brand spray paint.
If you wish to use a color which is not available in Fusion, use Fusion white or black as a primer. Paint the nose cone with the Fusion brand paint. After the Fusion paint has been allowed to dry for at least a week, paint over it with another brand of spray paint.
