We have just debuted the updated JonRocket.com web site. With a more modern look and a responsive design, our new online store will help you shop for model rocket products.
The new site doesn’t, yet, implement all of the features of the older site. But, we are working to restore them. One big thing that is missing is access to your Rewards Points. The web site is keeping track of your orders, so you will continue to earn points with every purchase. But, right now you can’t view your Rewards Points or exchange them for gift certificates. We will have this, and other, functionality restored soon.
Look for the JonRocket.com trailer at local launches in Central Florida.
On-site at launches, we sell a large selection of model rocket motors as well as many of the other supplies and accessories you may need for the launch. The items we normally stock include:
- Model Rocket Motors (up to G total impulse)
- Recovery Wadding
- Parachute Protectors
- Parachutes (from 6 to 120″ in diameter)
- Ejection Charge Refills
- Ejection Charge Cannisters
- Motor Adapters
- Launch Lugs and Rail Buttons
- Adhesives and Tape
For convenience, we normally keep most things that we sell in the trailer, so please feel free to ask Bracha or I for whatever you need at a launch.
To make it a little easier for you to see what we have available on-site, you can visit the JonRocket.com Mobile Web Site on your smart phone or tablet. The mobile web site allows you to browse the selection of items that we have available at launches.
In addition to the items listed on the Mobile Web Site, we usually also bring a small selection of rocketry kits, parts, toys, and other items which we display on tables under our shade canopy. If there is anything from our on-line catalog that you would like for us to bring to a launch, please let us know.
We usually attend each ROCK launch in Oviedo, Florida, on the first Saturday of the month. We try to attend the NEFAR launch on the second Saturday. We occasionally attend the TTRA or SRA launch on the third Saturday.
We accept cash and credit cards for your on-site purchases.
At yesterday’s NEFAR rocket launch, Mike Orpi allowed me to photograph some of his rockets for use in our online catalog. He showed me several of FlisKits’s models that he had built. Mike’s obviously a fan of Flis’s design and has done a great job building these challenging kits.
You can see more photos of Mike’s rockets in the July 2013 NEFAR Launch photo album at RocketReviews.com.
You can now download our JonRocket.com catalog in PDF format so you can read it offline or print it.
The PDF catalog is automatically generated from our online catalog each day and reflects our current inventory and prices.
Adobe’s Acrobat Reader is required to view or print the catalog.
For those who may already be using the clixGalore affiliate network, we have created an affiliate program for JonRocket.com at clickGalore. Like our Sharasale affiliate program, the clixGalore program allows you to add JonRocket.com links and banners to your web site and earn commissions on sales that they generate.
JonRocket.com’s affiliate data feed is now available through PopShots
PopShops provides tools to help you build and maintain your affiliate web site. PopShop’s ShopBuilder makes it easy to create a shopping web site featuring products from hundreds of vendors (including JonRocket.com). Their Shopping API and Data Feeds services provide combined data from hundreds of affiliate feeds, allowing your site to offer a rich and full-featured affiliate product shopping, comparison shopping, and coupon experience.
JonRocket.com has joined Shareasale, a trusted affiliate network. This means that, if you maintain a web site or blog of your own, you can join the JonRocket.com affiliate program and earn commissions on purchases by people you refer to our web site.
Once you sign up at Shareasale and join our program, you will find a selection of ad banners and text links that you can place on your site. When a visitor to your site clicks on one of the banners or text links then makes a purchase on our site, you earn a commission.
Sharesale tracks the commisions you earn and provides reporting, and real-time commission statements for our affiliate program. Because we use Shareasale to manage our affiliate program, you are assured of on-time and accurate payments of your commissions.
Shareasale represents hundreds of other online merchants, so you can benefit by joining other affiliate programs and receiving commissions from them also. Shareasale combines your earnings so that it is easier to meet the monthly minimum payment amounts.
We also provide a data feed through Shareasale. The data feed is a listing of the products we have for sale through our web site along with descriptions, links to images, and current prices. The list is formatted to allow it to be easily imported into a database so that your web site can use it to dynamically display information about the products.
If you created your web site using popular blog software such as WordPress, look for plugins which will make it easy to integrate information from our data feed into your site. Plugins are also available for other Content Management Systems (CMSs) which are commonly used to create a web site.
We’ve made a few more updates to improve our web site. We have enlarged the photos displayed in product listings and on product pages. We are also adding and updating product photographs. In addition to the featured photograph for each product, we are adding front and back pictures so that you can see just what you will receive.
We’re currently in the process of updating the JonRocket.com web site. We are updating the product photos and are planning to include photos of the products in their packaging, as you will receive them. We are also adding additional information about each product including links to copies of the instructions, links to external reviews of the products, and links to Rocksim design files for kits.
We’ve also made minor updates to the site’s appearance. One thing that you may notice is that product pages now utilize the full width of your browser window so that the descriptions and attributes don’t look as cluttered.
Updating the site is time-consuming, so we are far from finished. But, we hope you can already see and appreciate some of the improvements.
